Property Tax Assessments for Failure to Display a Current Mobile Home Registration or RP Decal
Mobile homes that fail to properly display a current Mobile Home registration decal or Real Property (RP) decal are subject to tangible personal property taxation. Most often, a tangible personal property tax assessment is more costly to the mobile home owner.
The Property Appraiser’s Office is responsible for placing such mobile homes on the tangible personal property tax roll. RP decals can be obtained from one of the Tax Collector’s Service Centers. For location information, click here.
Property Tax Assessments for Mobile Home Attachments
In rare circumstances, when a mobile home’s attachments exceed $25,000, the attachments are assessed as tangible personal property. Mobile home attachments include, but are not limited to: skirting, air conditioning, screen rooms, utility rooms, carports, etc.

Property Tax Notices
Property tax notices are mailed October 31st. Florida law makes taxpayers responsible for knowing that their property taxes are due each year. Ad valorem taxes and non-ad valorem assessments become delinquent on April 1st.
