Q: I really want to work for the Polk County Tax Collector’s Office, but I don’t see any available jobs on your website. Can I just send you my resume?
A: We do not accept resumes without an available position and a job application. In order to be considered for a position at the Polk County Tax Collector’s Office, you must apply. Check our website often for openings.
Q: I applied for the same position that’s open now previously. Do I need to apply again?
A: Yes. Each job opening requires a new application to be submitted.
Q: I just submitted an application. What do I do now?
A: You should have received an email from us notifying you that your application was received.
If you are applying for a customer service position, you must take the assessment test linked at the bottom of that email. In order to be considered for the next step of the hiring phase, you must make an 80% or higher.
Q: I’ve submitted my application and taken the test required. What do I do now?
A: We suggest you monitor your email. That is how we will contact you for the next step of the hiring process.
Q: I didn’t pass the pre-employment test. When can I take the test again?
A: You can take one test per application submission. You are welcome to apply again when a future job opening is posted
