Benefit To Education Exceeds $89,000

BARTOW, Florida/ PR Free/ April 20, 2011

On Tuesday, April 12, 2011, Polk County Kids Tag Art presented the School Board with a check for $26,833 at their regular board meeting at the Bartow District Offices. This is the 5th year the Tax Collector's Office has hosted this art program in Polk County Schools. The total combined monies that have been raised for Polk art teachers exceeds $89,000 for the 5 year period, which represents 100% of proceeds.

The major sponsor this year was MIDFLORIDA Credit Union. Other sponsors were Douglass Screen Printers, Alphagraphics, Polk Education Foundation, Junior Woman's Club of Lakeland, Lake Wales Arts Center, Polk Arts Alliance, Polk Museum of Art, Polk County Schools, and the Polk County Tax Collector's Office.
