2000 AD VALOREM TAXES AND NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS ARE NOW DUE

THE FOLLOWING DISCOUNTS ARE ALLOWED BY LAW:

4% if paid by November 30, 2000;
3% if paid by December 31, 2000;
2% if paid in January 31, 2001; and,
1% if paid in February 29, 2001.

DELINQUENT APRIL 1, 2001

SECTION 197.122, FLORIDA STATUTES, provides: ?All owners of property shall be held to know that taxes are due and payable annually and are charged with the duty of ascertaining the amount of current and delinquent taxes and paying them before April 1 of the year following the year in which taxes are assessed.?

You are hereby notified that the Tax Rolls have been received by the Tax Collector from the Property Appraiser and that the Tax Collector?s Office collects ad valorem taxes and non-ad valorem assessments for the following taxing authorities:

Tax bills are being mailed to the addresses appearing on the 2000 Tax Rolls, or to the mortgage company requesting to pay the taxes. Failure to receive a tax bill will not exempt property owner from paying taxes and/or assessments or delinquent costs. If a bill is not received by November 13, 2000, please request a duplicate, furnishing the legal description of the properties. For customer convenience, we now have drop boxes for payments and comments located in the lobby of Tag Offices located throughout Polk County.

use the return envelope and PLEASE BE SURE TO MAIL THE LOWER PART OF YOUR NOTICE FORM(S) TO THIS OFFICE FOR VALIDATING WHEN PAYING TAXES.
