MAIL PAYMENTS NOW; AVOID LONG LINES

03/22/00 - BARTOW

Joe G. Tedder, Tax Collector, is advising the public to expect a high volume of walk-in for the remaining days in March.

"Generally the Tax Collector's Office is busy at the end of the month processing customer vehicle However, March 31st also marks the deadline for real estate and tangible personal property tax payments," stated Tedder.

"If people mail-in their tax payments or their vehicle registration renewal forms now, they can avoid long lines at the Tax Collector's Office," Tedder said.

All real estate and tangible personal property tax payments must be paid, postmarked or placed in a Tax Collector's Office Drop Box on or before March 31st.

All vehicle registrations are required to be renewed on or before the vehicle owner's birthday or the expiration date indicated on their vehicle registration.
